Grief & Loss Counseling
Abigail Frank, PLMHP & PMSW
Is your grief making it hard to get through the day?
“Are you finding that grief is impacting your ability to focus, rest, or feel present in your daily life?”
“Do you feel overwhelmed by sadness or loss, making it challenging to handle everyday tasks?”
“Is the weight of grief making even simple things feel difficult right now?”
“Are you struggling to find moments of peace because of your grief?”
“I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. Grief can be incredibly heavy, but you don’t have to carry it alone. Together, we can find ways to navigate these feelings and help you find relief and resilience.”
There’s no right way to grieve.
Grief is a deeply personal and unique experience—there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to grieve. Everyone processes loss differently, and your feelings, reactions, and timeline are valid. Whether your grief feels quiet or overwhelming, sudden or slow, know that your experience is honored.
In therapy, we create a compassionate space where you can explore your grief at your own pace, find support, and discover ways to live with loss while moving toward healing.
You Don’t Have to Handle Grief Alone
Grief can feel isolating, overwhelming, and sometimes unbearable—but you don’t have to face it on your own. Support is available, and reaching out for help is a courageous step toward healing.
Therapeutic Techniques I Use
My approach to grief counseling uses a blend of evidence-based practices including the following:
-
Attuning to and releasing grief held in the body through gentle awareness of physical sensations.
-
Helping you tell your story of loss in a way that brings meaning and integration.
-
Guiding you to identify, experience, and process complex emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, or relief.

About Abigail
As a grief specialist, I understand the experience of both children and adults who carry their loss quietly while struggling deeply inside. My work is deeply informed by my own healing journey, where somatic therapy played a crucial role in processing the complex emotions that grief brings. I know firsthand what it means to intellectually grasp the stages of grief while the body still holds sorrow, tension, and pain.
I hold space for curiosity and an open mind in therapy, recognizing that exploration, patience, and self-compassion are essential components of healing from loss. Though not all of my clients may see themselves in my story, I have walked many similar paths and am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge to meet the evolving needs of those who grieve in a world that is always changing.
