Brainspotting (BSP)
Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that helps access and process trauma or difficult emotions by using specific eye positions, known as “brainspots.” These brainspots correspond to areas in the brain where emotional pain and trauma are stored.
During a Brainspotting session, you will be guided to focus your gaze on a specific point while tuning into bodily sensations and emotions. This focused attention helps the brain process and release unresolved trauma at a deep, subconscious level.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting bypasses some of the mental defenses by working directly with the brain and body connection. This makes it effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges.
